Get Onto the Field of Play

Reading time: 22 seconds

In the game of life, at times, each of us is a spectator watching the game play out in front of us. When we do that, we compromise our leadership effectiveness and are at risk of undermining the very success we strive for.

This message has been with us for as long as people could think and be self-reflective and the clarity some have is marvellous. Here’s Scott Turow from his novel, Ordinary Heroes:

Right now, this is life.  The present never stops.  There is only the present.

That’s it.  The past is gone and the future hasn’t arrived, so there is only the present.

Back to the metaphor:  FULLY ALIVE LEADERSHIP© is an invitation to be on the field of play for the entire game.  That’s where your greatest leadership lies, where you can influence others to give their A-game.  And did I mention that it’s where your entire life happens?
