Life Intervenes

Reading time – 27 seconds  .  .  .

It’s been a while since the last Fully Alive Leadership post and the reason is the same as for most of us as we make our way: Life intervenes.

  • You planed to do that search engine optimization, but then that key customer called.
  • You intended to do provide ongoing training for your sales team with innovative concepts that looked ever-so promising. Then the new monthly statements dropped on your desk and you forgot all about that training.

This could be a really long list – you already know that. But here’s the thing.

You’re the leader, which means that even as life leads you down detours (and yes, many of them are really valuable), it’s your job to get back to that important stuff – especially the strategic stuff – that may not be urgent, but it remains really important.

So, give some thought to the important stuff that’s waiting patiently for you to push aside all the distractors and dig into it.

    Good morning Jack,
I am a alumni Vistage member and interested in having you possibly attend and perform and present at a sales training for my team. We are in Santa Ana, California and wondering if you would be interested in coordinating efforts for early next year. Thank you.

What do you think?

Keep the conversation going by both adding your comments and by passing this along to three colleagues. That’s how we all improve.
